Figure 4.2.1 illustrates the pulp, paper and paper products manufacturing processes. The manufacture of pulp involves the separation of wood cellulose fibres by mechanical or chemical action for paper making such as paper and paperboard which go through a converting process to create paper products. Also, spent pulping liquor is removed from the pulp and can be used as a fuel.
