Input rating greater than symbol 30.5 kW (107 000 kJ/h) and storage capacity greater than symbol190 litres (50 U.S. gallons) 0.59 – 0.0005V
   
Where
EF = Energy factor calculated as defined in the          CSA test procedure.
V = rated storage capacity in litres

Requirements for the energy efficiency report, as listed in Schedule IV of the Regulations

  • type of product (oil-fired water heater);
  • brand name;
  • model number;
  • manufacturer;
  • name of the organization or province that carried out the water heater verification and authorized the verification mark that will be affixed to the water heater;
  • rated volume of the storage tank in litres;
  • energy factor;.
  • input rating;
  • recovery efficiency; and
  • energy factor calculated as a dimensionless quantity.

APPLIES TO
oil-fired water heaters that have an input rating of not more than 30.5 kilowatts or 107 000 kJ and a manufacturer's specified storage capacity of not more than 190 litres (50 U.S. gallons).
