School Energy Challenge
Objectives and Description:
Enbridge Gas has teamed up with EcoSchools to launch the School Energy Challenge to encourage students from each participating secondary school to put their energy-efficiency knowledge gained from the classroom curriculum educational content (developed specifically for this competition) to the test by forming a team of students, known as a "Green Team" to engage in friendly competition with other schools registered in the challenge. The goal is to inspire schools to compete against one another and learn more about natural gas efficiency in a fun competitive way. Teams will be given the opportunity to help their school save energy by participating in conservation activities, making positive behavioral changes associated with the school's energy usage, incorporating energy-wise tips into their everyday lives and reporting on these activities and measuring their progress.
