National Energy Use Database

In 1991, Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) launched the National Energy Use Database (NEUD) initiative to help the department improve its knowledge of energy consumption and energy efficiency at the end-use level in Canada. The NEUD's most important role is to secure the development of a reliable, Canada-wide information base on energy consumption for all energy-consuming sectors.

The twenty-first edition of the Report to Parliament on Improving Energy Performance in Canada is now available. It provides a detailed view of Canada’s substantial and ongoing progress in responsible energy use across all sectors of the economy.

The 2013 energy use data are now available in the Comprehensive Energy Use Database, Energy Efficiency Trends Analysis Tables, Energy Use Data Handbook Tables and the Query System.
